Natural Legacy Coffins take starring role in Coronation Street and Emmerdale Funerals

When Emmerdale’s Gemma Andrews was laid to rest in last week’s funeral episode it was in a Natural Legacy woollen coffin.

And when devastated Roy Cropper collected his beloved wife Hayley’s remains in Monday’s Coronation Street it was in a Natural Legacy woollen ashes casket.

Julie Greenough of Natural Legacy, says: “People love our Natural Legacy coffins and caskets because they are so comforting and tactile. They are a gentler way for friends and family to say goodbye to a loved one.

“We were delighted that the makers of Emmerdale and Coronation Street featured Natural Legacy in two of their most gripping storylines.”

Natural Legacy has also featured on the BBC’s Escape to the Country. Fans include Prince Charles, who says people should be buried in woollen coffins because it is a more environmentally friendly way of being laid to rest.

Handmade at a historic mill in West Yorkshire with soft British wool, Natural Legacy woollen coffins and caskets are a beautiful and comforting alternative to a traditional coffin. Suitable for both burial and cremation, families love the more personalised and gentler goodbye that they allow.

Each Natural Legacy coffin and ash casket is expertly made from 100% pure new British wool, strong recycled cardboard and organic cotton on the same premises that has produced the outer woollen cloth for over 230 years.
